Reinventing Organisations

We have to be honest here – the original Frederick Laloux book has been on our ‘must-get-around-to-reading-properly’ list for a while. So when this gorgeous illustrated edition was launched back in 2016 we jumped for it.

Laloux himself describes the fact that “many people seem truly inspired to hear that a whole new kind of organisation is emerging…but not everyone has time to read a 360-page management book about it”

The book stays true to Laloux’s original thorough research and findings and brings them to life with beautiful (often amusing) illustrations that cannot fail to inspire the reader.

It takes the reader through the evolution of organisation’s structures, ways of working, behaviours and end results from ‘Red’ organisations (where the guiding metaphor is a wolf pack’) to ‘Teal’ organisations (where the guiding metaphor is a living organism).

If you have ever wondered if there is a better, more effective, more productive and more fun way that your organisation could be set up then this is the book for you. It promises to “shift the conversation from what’s broken to what’s possible”; it shines the light on the impact that badly thought through practices can have in an organisation and it shares practical case studies where companies have changed their approach and have experienced amazing results in engagement, productivity and sales.

Quote from the book

These are extraordinary times to be alive. Often confusing but full of possibilities. It is up to us to invent a new path
— Frederic Laloux
